The Little Dipper is a quaint little bar smack in the middle of downtown Houston. The problem with locations like this is that the venue itself, the owners, couldn't care less about pinball. Machine owners conviced them to let them put games on site and it's up to them to maintain them.
Fortunately at Little Dipper those operators happen to be a fabulous couple with extensive pinball knowledge and a great collection of machines. They usually keep the more recent games to a minimum and maintain a wonderful collection of classic DMDs. All are kept in great condition for tournament play.
The bar itself is friendly but a little to small to adequately host anything but the smallest tournaments. Bartenders are always friendly but, as with any place in downtown Houston, drinks are way overpriced.
Pros: Great variety of games from various eras.
Cons: Location. Not a great area to drive to. Good luck finding parking.
